Shelby
Garriott
NCAApHC Youth Director
At
the last member meeting, Shelby agreed to and was reelected as
Youth Director.
When
you meet Shelby, you'll soon see why she is the perfect person
for the position of club Youth Director. She is honest, helpful
and kind to everyone. It is her nature to reach out and help her
classmates, teachers and her friends. In school, she is a straight
A student and is the only girl to become a member of the Rose
Bud 7th Grade football team. She is the one her peers seek out
for help with assignments.
Shelby
started riding when she was very little, and had her first pony
at 3 years of age. Her mother tells the story of Shelby galloping
that pony, scaring her to death because she thought the pony had
bolted. But, Shelby was grinning from ear to ear because she completely
enjoyed it. Now, she shows Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle
and is getting her horse ready to run barrels and poles this year.
You'll
see Shelby at every club meeting, every event and every show.
She'll be working along side her mother to lend a helping hand.
In
the coming weeks, Shelby will be working on ideas for the kid
members of the club. She'll let us know what she has planned at
the member meetings.
If
you'd like to volunteer to help Shelby out, give her a call at
501-556-5512.
